Determine the Right Goals for YOU!

Only 7 days until the Find Your Fit Give & Take Challenge begins!

That means we have one week to decide what goals we want to take on for the first 30 days! Keep in mind “fit” expands well beyond the gym and kitchen, it is everything in your life/ day that affects your mind. Your thoughts impact every aspect of your life, therefore these goals can extend well beyond weights and food!

I’ve personally decided that I’m going to make daily stretching my goal for February. I actually love to stretch and find it rather relaxing (my husband thinks I’m crazy), but I have found myself just happy that I can squeeze a workout in daily and I have put almost all stretching on the back burner… (shame on me, I know)! I have really started to notice a change with my flexibility and the side effects of this… so I am challenging myself to stretch EVERY DAY! Whether it is first thing in the morning, after a workout, or while I’m playing with the little guy, I don’t care when I find the time to stretch each day I’m just going to hold myself accountable and do it!

What is your goal for February??? Think of how accomplished you will feel and how motivated you will be after completing that goal for a solid month!! Feel free to share your goals OR keep them to yourself, but I encourage you to take on this challenge. There will be nothing to regret!!

One goal, 30 days! We can help encourage and support each other to reach our personal happy, healthy fit goals! If you are still having a hard time trying to decide where to start here are some ideas!!

  • Increase your water intake (# glasses/day)

  • Set a goal for # steps/miles per week or per day

  • Daily walks

  • Yoga

  • Stretching

  • No sweets

  • Meal prep/ packing healthy lunch or breakfast

  • Decreasing your amount of time watching TV or phone usage

  • Taking the stairs daily at work

  • Increasing fruits or veggies

Those are just a few ideas of some possible goals you may be interested in trying to conquer. Just remember you are doing this for yourself and no one else, so NEVER feel that a goal you have is silly or irrelevant.

As we get ready to start this challenge remember there is a PDF document titled “Goals Checklist” listed under the Find Your Fit Tab on the website. You may print this to help you track your progress! Obviously it is not necessary, but sometimes I find visualizing your goals and how far you have come helps to keep you motivated and striving for a healthier you!!
